Located in the geometric center of the Yangtze River Delta, Anji is the source of the Huangpu River in Shanghai and an important northwestern node of the Hangzhou metropolitan economic circle. It is a close-knit city in the two major economic circles of “Shanghai-Hangzhou”, with superior location and convenient transportation. Anji Jian County was founded in 185 AD. The county name was taken from "An Qie Ji Xi" in the "Book of Songs" . The territory is rich in regional cultures such as bamboo culture, tea culture and Changshuo culture, with the long history and profound humanities.

Anji is the birthplace of the two mountains concept of General Secretary Xi Jinping, "Green Water Qingshan is Jinshan Yinshan", the birthplace of China's beautiful villages, the country's first ecological county, and the only UN Habitat Award. It is in the true sense of "safe and auspicious, livable and entrepreneurial."
